At the start of 2010, I made myself a list of goals for the year. Number one on that list was to finish a series of paintings. I had this concept I wanted to flesh out, you see. It’s been a year now and I have finished a total number of NONE. Not a single painting for 2010.
How depressing.
This year, I’ve decided to set the bar low. My only goal for this year is to lose the 5 or so pounds I’ve gained since my thesis/callcenter days.

This photo was taken about two weeks before my resignation became effective and look at me. When I wear that shirt now, my belly sticks out and instead of a sharply defined jaw, I have a gaussian-blurred one. I also have skinny jeans that I can’t wear comfortably anymore because I can’t bend my knees properly in them.
Now, I’m not a diet person. I don’t believe in depriving myself of food, especially since I don’t eat that much to begin with. My only battleplan is this: Consume less junkfood and soda and walk home from EDSA instead of taking the jeep.

So far, I’ve been sticking to it. My only exception to the walk-home-rule is when it’s past 9pm. Because while I’d love to lose weight, I don’t want to get mugged in the process.
Let’s go, 2011! I can do this!
